Whether a team is just forming, or is navigating a big change, such as a change of ownership, or a reorganization, or other big transition, custom team programs can accelerate the team’s ability to adapt and perform at its best.
These programs are custom designed to meet the team’s needs in the moment, based on interviews that identify their current response to the change, and their needs to move forward. Based on the Kubler-Ross Change curve, significant and unexpected change can trigger strong emotions of shock, anger and fear before individuals have a time to make sense of and accept the change. Supporting people through the change cycle allows them to adapt more quickly and stay engaged so they can contribute to make the new structure work.
These programs allow team members to process their thoughts and emotions about the change, celebrate their successes and reach closure together, as well as dream into their new roles, goals, etc. Through frameworks, and interactive exercises, these programs allow for the deeper connection and dialogue to honor the past and make sense of the new change, preparing team members to bring their best selves to their new roles.
The value of these sessions, which are typically half-day to a whole-day long, is that trust is strengthened by open dialogue, and the team members feels supported to adapt more successfully to the new changes.
